Halloween will be very eventful this year: Here’s where:

Shoshoni isn’t the only place in Fremont County that’s gearing up for Halloween. All across the area, people are digging out their face paint and costumes and getting ready to get spooky! Here are some of the events occurring around the county in the coming week.

• The Eastern Shoshone Tribe’s Trail of Treats event will be held from 1-5 p.m. on Friday, October 27, at the Eastern Shoshone 477 Program.

• Riverton Elks will host a Halloween carnival from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, October 27. Games cost 50¢ each at the carnival. 

• Wyoming Indian High School will host a Halloween masquerade on Friday, October 27. Spook Grand Entry will take place at 7 p.m.

• The Shoshoni Recreation District’s Haunted House will take place from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, October 27 and 28 at the Shoshoni Senior Center Basement.

• Motion Bliss Academy’s haunted house will be held at the old city hall jail house behind Bar 10 in Riverton from 6-11 p.m. on Fri. and Saturday October 27 and 28.

• The Riverton Raiders baseball team will be hosting a haunted house at 314 East Washington, Fire Station 1, from 6-11 p.m. on October 27 and 28. Admission costs $5 per person.

• Studio 402 will offer haunted basement tours from 6-11 p.m. on October 27 and 28. Admission costs $7 per person.

• Saint Stephens will host a haunted house in the Keel Gym from 7-10 p.m. on October 27 and 28. Admission costs $10 for adults or $5 for kids 17 and under.

• Lander CarQuest will host a haunted house and food drive from 7-11 p.m. on October 27, 28, and 30. Admission is by donations in the form of cash, checks or canned goods, to benefit the Lander Food Bank.

• The 17th Annual Pumpkin 5K/10K Walk/Run will take place at the Riverton High School Wolverine football field on October 28. Registration opens at 9 a.m. and costs $20 per person.

• The Riverton Museum’s ninth annual Fall Fun Fest, featuring harvest- and Halloween-themed crafts and snacks as well as classic children’s games, will be held from 2-4 p.m. on October 28. This event is free and open to the public; for more information, contact the Riverton Museum at 307-856-2665.

• The Midvale Fire Station will host a trunk or treat event from 2-5 p.m. on October 28.

• The Dubois Museum will host a Halloween at the museum event from 3-5 p.m. on October 28.

• White Buffalo Recovery Center, 450 South Federal, Riverton, will host a haunted house from 4-9 p.m. on October 28. Admission costs $5 per person.

• There will be a pre-Halloween party, featuring Indigenous hip-hop artist Sten Joddi, at Shoshone Rose Casino at 7 p.m. on October 28. Tickets cost $30 per person.

• The Wyoming Dinosaur Center will host a Halloween party from 8 p.m. till midnight on October 28.

• CDS will host trunk or treat events at both its Lander and Riverton locations from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on October 30. Bring canned goods, gently used clothing or school supplies to participate.

• CDS Riverton will host a haunted house on October 30, starting at 5:30 p.m. Admission costs $5 per person, or $4 with a canned good.

• Arapaho School will host a Halloween masquerade from 6-9 p.m. on October 30. Grand entry is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.

• Riverton City Hall will be open to trick-or-treaters from 2-4 p.m. on October 31.

• High Plains Power in Riverton will be open to trick-or-treaters from 2-4 p.m. on October 31.

• The Lander Pet Connection will have a dog costume contest and adoption event in Centennial Park from 3 p.m. until dark on October 31.

• Lander Main Street trick-or-treat will take place from 3-6:30 p.m. on October 31.

• Warm Valley Lodge will be open to trick-or-treaters from 3:30-5 p.m. on October 31.

• Wind River Rehab will be open to trick-or-treaters from 4-6 p.m. on October 31.

• The Riverton Branch Library will host a trunk or treat event starting at 4:30 p.m. on October 31. The best trunk will win a $100 gift card to Ichiban.

• Wind River Community Church will host a trunk or treat event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on October 31.
